Information for Schools and Colleges

Workshops

We offer a range of workshops, each tailored towards different age groups. Hear what a teacher from a sixth form we visited had to say:

"Unlock Academia sent 4 speakers to work with our students during our Higher Education week. They delivered a short presentation to the year group about the Oxford process and what the experience is like. They then spent some time doing a drop in session to support Oxford applicants, answer their questions, look at personal statements and complete some interview preparation. They were fantastic and our students really benefited from this experience. Hope to work with them more shortly."

Application Workshops

Aimed towards students in key stage 5, our application workshops provide information about Oxbridge, the application process, and how to maximise chances of success.

The workshops take the format of a presentation followed by drop-in sessions during which students are invited to chat with our mentors. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions and receive tailored support.

Careers Workshops

Our careers workshops are interactive, informational sessions aimed at students in years 9, 10, and 11. Through these sessions, we hope to broaden students' knowledge of university life and the careers obtainable through higher education.

We began our careers workshops following the realisation that many young people - particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds - benefit from a helping hand prior to deciding their post-16 plans. With these workshops, we aim to elucidate a pathway from GCSEs to an individual's dream job, via A-Levels and university if applicable.
